It is the perfect place to enjoy a pint of ale by the roaring log fire in the winter, a glass of chilled wine on the terrace while the children explore the play area in warmer months; it’s somewhere to enjoy consistently good, healthy, modern European food all year-round.
You will always receive a warm welcome whether you’re just dropping by for a drink or staying to enjoy a light lunch, evening meal or are celebrating a special occasion.
Head Chef Jess and her team strive to keep the a la carte menu fresh and exciting, without forgetting the locals firm favourites. Chef Jess makes the best of seasonally produce which is locally sourced.
Sundays roasts are served from 12noon to 6 pm, and you will always find a good choice, including different meats as well as a nut roast for vegetarians.
There is always a good selection of dishes available that can be enjoyed by those on coeliac, gluten or dairy free diets and, with everything prepared and cooked in-house, meals can easily be adapted for other food allergy sufferers. All menus, local activities and special events, including the Fleece’s popular Tapas Night on the last Wednesday of the month, can be found on their website and social media pages.
You can also purchase your regular supply of the famous Braughing sausages from the pub too!
